Arte na Escola [Art in School] – UFSC

The Arte na Escola [Art in School] Program – UFSC is part of the Arte na Escola Network, an organization that connects Brazilian cultural, educational and Higher Education Institutions (HEI) with the Arte na Escola Institute, with the objective to train art teachers through local partnerships.

The program combines efforts to provide means and multiple materials for the teaching of art. It also provides conditions for the continuing training of primary education teachers from the official education network. The Arte na Escola Network is present in more than 20 Brazilian states and develops its actions through the Continuing Education, the Media Library and the Prêmio Arte na Escola Cidadã [Art Award in the Citizen School] Programs.

The UFSC Center is currently coordinated by the Colégio de Aplicação [Laboratory School] and the Arts and Culture Department at UFSC.
